We’re excited to host the CONFRO & QISSN carinval in Mackay from the 26th of June to the 1st of July 2022!
We welcome you to our region to participate in the largest school based carnival where students will demonstrate sportsmanship, teamwork and pride for their respective teams, schools and themselves.
It’s a great opportunity to develop pride and passion, friendship and service to others while participating in a competitive environment.
CQ UNIVERSITY CONFRO
The Confraternity Rugby League Carnival (QISSRL) is the largest independent schoolboys (16-18 years) Rugby League carnival in Australia.
CQ UNIVERSITY QISSN
With over 700 girls and boys playing netball, along with the multitude of volunteers who coach and manage, umpire, coordinate, First Aid and make up the Executive staff, QISSN is one of the largest school based carnivals in Australia.

CQ UNIVERSITY CONFRATERNITY PLEDGE
We pledge not to be physically or verbally abusive to any other player during the carnival.
We will approach all aspects of the carnival positively. And we strive to follow the greatest teaching of Jesus and treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves.
On behalf of all players from all teams, I pledge that we will represent our school to the best of our ability, on and off the field. We will show sportsmanship at all times.
We will show respect at all times to our team mates, opposition players, coaches, managers, referees and officials.
CQ UNIVERSITY QISSN PLAYERS’ OATH
You are my opposition, but you are not my enemy, for your resistance gives me strength, may we look upon our defeats as a learning experience of life, whilst fully appreciating the joys that come with victory.
Although our goals may differ, it is in the spirit of the game that we come together for the same purpose.
We must believe in our dreams for this will bring success, dream, believe, succeed.
